About Bryn
Howdy Pilgrims,
I'm Bryn, also known as the pen slingin' content marketing troubleshooter The Refined Cowboy. I'm the white hat stranger who rides into your organisation's blog section, gets deputised to return law and order to your content, then vanishes into the sunset until needed once more. If your company's blog is as vacant as the desert planes, or traffic has gone the way of the buffalo, then you've come to the right place for a cattle driver. Let me saddle up next to you partner, and I'll steer your blog through the rockiest of terrains back to Successville. You needn't try to ride the SEO rodeo alone. The Refined Cowboy's the name, and lassoing readers is mah' game! If you have a project you would like to discuss with me then feel free to gimme a holler. |
I hold a BA and MA in Journalism from The University of Bangor, Wales, a qualification in Communication from Menai College, plus PTLLS and CTLLS certificates in teaching from Harlech College.
Employed for 6 years by a Sunday Times Top 100, white hat, Google 360 Partner SEO agency that works with both medium-sized businesses and large international corporations, I am familiar with briefs for the increased online presence of brands, and how to strengthen their position in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) via link building tactics. As a freelance writer I have created content for guest postings and company blog sections in a variety of industries and in a number of countries. My clients over the course of this time have included a plethora organisations, some with an already heavily pronounced online profile, and others without. From transportation and luxury travel to hospitality and even care homes, I ensure posts are written with well researched key words in mind and headlines conducive to effective SEO. Check out my portfolio for some examples. Adding your voice to the internet needn't feel like a journey into The Wild West. What exactly is a refined cowboy?
Refined
Work hard to be the best you can at what you love. To do this, one needs to refine their craft. In my case, this refers to writing. This is what the dictionary has to say about the word 'Refined': adjective - With impurities or unwanted elements having been removed by processing: (concentrated, processed, treated, polished) Elegant and cultured in appearance, manner, or taste: (cultivated, cultured, civilized, stylish, elegant, sophisticated, urbane) Developed or improved so as to be precise or subtle: "building up a more refined profile of the customer's needs" |
Cowboy
As a child family and friends knew me as a keen horse rider. Despite not mounting one since my teens, over the following years the moniker of 'Cowboy' still had to be endured, even though the connotations of the term are in stark contrast with my mild mannered, gentlemanly personality. I have since taken ownership of the label, and am proud to be called a cowboy, albeit a refined one.
Yeehaw old chap! |
